I am always learning, are you?
Today's post is a little more of a life lesson rather than a mortgage lesson. I am part of The Core Training which is a coaching company for mortgage and real estate professionals across the country. I love this group because of the constant challenge of getting better in not only business but life, leadership, self and money.
Often the biggest things I take away come from the smallest actions. Learning to ask great questions was one of those lessons. Meaning, ask deeper questions, ones that will give you deeper responses and connections. So many of us go through life with just surface level connections in our business relationships and relationships with our team members. By asking deeper questions, you get a deeper connection, it seems simple, but for me a little out of my comfort zone. What was a turning point in your career or what was a great memory from your childhood? It might seem cheesy and it might seem unnecessary, however, if you are building an army of warriors that will go to battle with you and for you it's imperative and a heck of a lot more fun the more you know about each other. Go deep-get out of your comfort zone and really get to know your team and/or referral partners by asking these kind of questions - it will change everything.
